About Us:

In November 1981, RIMCO, INC. became the Caterpillar Dealer for Puerto Rico, the U.S. and the British Virgin islands, as the successor of USI Puerto Rico, Inc., who had been the dealer since 1958. RIMCO is a privately held corporation, founded by Richard L. McConnie. In March of 2003, RIMCO acquired the Caterpillar dealership for the territory of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Islands. During this same year, RIMCO, Inc. incorporated the 6 Sigma methodologies to provide support in the necessary areas with the help of two Black Belts. As exclusive distributor of Caterpillar our principal mission is to be a compromise business with integrity and loyalty to its clients and at the same time with the firm purpose to offer the sales of equipment, generators, engines, rental, parts and service of the highest quality in the market.

Our main facilities are located at John F. Kennedy Ave, Km 3.7, San Juan, Puerto Rico. We also have 4 rental stores strategically located for your convenience at Arecibo, Hormigueros, Ponce and San Juan.

Organization:

In RIMCO we have a group of technicians specialized in CAT equipment, experienced engineers to give support to our technicians in the service area and administrative personnel. In the administrative area of the company we include different departments to cover all the needs of our customers, these are:

Equipment Sales Department:

The Department of Equipment, directed by the manager Hector M. Rodriguez, has 10 sales representatives that cover the entire Island and a salesperson dedicated exclusively to cover all the agencies of the Government of Puerto Rico. Of these 11 sales representatives, two are assigned to cover the territory of the US and British Virgin Islands. Our main brand is CAT, but in addition we represent other brands of quality. Some of these brands are Leeboy, Gradall, JLG, Linden Comansa, ROSCO, NPK, Talbert, Kaufman, Telsmith and Bandit.

Power Systems Sales Department:

The Power Systems and Engine Sales Department, directed by the manager Miguel A. Vélez, has a group of 7 sales representatives, 3 of them dedicated for sale of commercial and residential generators and 4 of them dedicated for sale of industrial generators for larger power generation requirements. One of the latter is also responsible for the sales of marine engines.

As a result of the great effort of our sales force we have been leaders in the sale of Generators through the passed years. We have been recognized by CAT with the prize "Dealer Excellence Award" for being the #1 distributor in the world in the sale of Olympian generators.

Rental Department:

The Department of Rental directed by the Manager of Operations Manuel Fresneda and the Manager of Sales, Ramón Figueroa, has 9 sales representatives around the entire island and is the most complete store of the region for equipment and generators.

For your convenience we have 4 rental stores around Puerto Rico in San Juan, Arecibo, Hormigueros and Ponce. We rent all types of equipment from heavy to compact equipment such as Light Towers, Compressors, Fingers, Generators, etc.

Parts Department:

The Parts Department, directed by the manager Alejandro Cabanelas, has 8 sales representatives around the entire island. Of these 8 sales representatives, two are assigned to cover the territory of the US and British Virgin Islands. Also, we have 6 additional employees so that you can order parts personally or by telephone at our facilities in San Juan, PR. One of the services that distinguish us in the market is our availability of parts because of the extensive inventory. We always try to have the parts that you need otherwise they will be ordered and received in 24 hours. Service Department:

The Service Department, directed by the manager Emilio Morales, is divided into four different areas, as General Workshop, Specialized Area, Rebuild and Field. We have around 95 qualified and specialized technicians for these different service areas.

Another section of the Service Department is the Preventive Maintenance Services. The preventive maintenance services offered are to maintain equipment and/or generators in conditions of profitable and dependable operation. The Analysis of Fluid “S.O.S" is one of the most useful and important programs for the support of maintenance and is part of the complete control program for the equipment and the generators.
